The unique shape of the peanut limits its movement to front/back or side/side, so it is ideal for dogs new to this type of training, yet challenging enough for the more experienced dog. It can also be used for animal rehabilitation and therapy. You can adjust the balance challenge by under-inflating so the ball is not as firm.

How to choose the right size Peanut for your dog: First - measure the distance between your dog's front legs and back legs while your dog is standing on the floor. For core conditioning, choose the size Peanut that is large enough for your dog to stand naturally on the surface, without being hunched over. It's OK to use a large Peanut for a small dog but not the other way around. For example, a dog with a distance of 46" between the front and back legs would need the largest peanut (80 cm).
For weight bearing activities (when a dog is standing partially on the ground and partially on the ball) choose a ball that is slightly small than your dog's height at the withers (highest part of the shoulders where the neck meets the back). If you need a Peanut smaller than 40cm, use the 40cm size but don't fully inflate it.
